The Eco-gite Rural La Clé des Champs

This former farmhouse, located in the commune of Peyrelongue-Abos, entirely renovated with natural materials between 2018 and 2020, includes 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a large living area. The ground floor is equipped for the comfort of people with reduced mobility.
Outside, you can enjoy the terrace, a large garden with flowers and trees (1 ha), an above-ground swimming pool, made of local wood (pine Landes), running with saltwater.
Bicycles are also available under the barn, as well as games and a tennis table.
A composter and a chicken coop allow you to recycle food waste, eggs are exclusively reserved for you! Just like the fruits of the orchard which make it possible to make excellent seasonal tarts (cherries, apples, pears, naschi).
An original beehive trunk located under a grove, sheltered from any disturbance, allows observing the bees and to offer you a few pots of honey.
Maintenance is also provided by sheep grazing peacefully between the fruit and ornamental trees; they are happy to accept some food (dry bread).
Evening meals are also available upon request and by booking, prepared exclusively with local products!
The bedding is new and meets environmental standards, and a pellet stove can heat the place in winter.
From the ‘La Clé des Champs’ ecogîte, it will be possible to discover alternative agricultural practices, dry lawns with orchids as well as an original form of beekeeping respectful of bees based on trunk hives. This beekeeping accompanies the bees in their rhythm of life.
La Clé des champs is a refuge for biodiversity, a forest hedge and mellifère have been planted all around the property.
