Stora Hotellet
When Stora Hotellet opened in October 1895, it was a place where those two worlds met. This has been Umeå’s major hotel for over 100 years, and extensive refurbishment was carried out on the verge of Umeå becoming the European Cultural Capital for 2014.
Today, Stora Hotellet has 82 unique rooms that run from spacious suites to compact seamen’s cabins. There are also a restaurant, bar, library, and conference rooms in the hotel.
