You can expect an official programme of celebrations and distinguished visits, music, theatre, children's activities and entertainment. PROGRAMME

TIME 11 am Bell-ringing & wreath-laying
Bell-ringing in churches around Åland. There will be wreath-laying at the same time.

TIME 12.45 pm Viking Line’s M/S Rosella sounds its horn as a salute for the centenarian
Will also be broadcast live on the big screen in the square.

TIME 2.10 pm Viking Grace and Viking Glory horn salute for the centenarian
Will also be broadcast live on the big screen in the square.



PROGRAMME IN THE SQUARE IN MARIEHAMN

TIME 1 pm START OF CELEBRATIONS
Introduction by the Master of Ceremonies.

TIME 1 pm – 5 pm Fold origami fish with Rädda Lumparn
In the north-east corner of the square facing the courtyard of the Parliament.

TIME 1.05 pm First performance of the Åland 100 fanfare
Written by musician and composer Fredrik Erlandsson.

TIME 1.10 pm The song of the Ålanders revamped
A new arrangement of the song of the Ålanders performed by the choir and backing group. By composer and musician Kjell Frisk.

TIME 1.15 pm Greetings from near and far
The programme begins on the big screen in the square.

TIME 1.25 pm Yohan & Emil
Musical performance by Yohan Henriksson & Emil Grönvall.

TIME 2 pm – 4 pm Face painting
Face paint inspired by Åland and Åland 100.



TIME 2.15 pm Åland dances
Dances by Viking Line, Eckerölinjen and Träningsundervisning will be shown on the big screen.

TIME 2.30 pm We are your emcee!
Young people greet the centenarian.

TIME 3.15 pm Åland 100 celebrations in Senatstorget, Helsinki
Will be shown on the big screen.

TIME 3.30 pm ‘The Ålandic King’
A taste of the new musical ‘The Ålandic King’, which is being brought to life by scriptwriter Dag Thelander, composer Per Wickström and director Arn-Henrik Blomqvist.

TIME 4.00 pm Yohan & Emil
Musical performance by Yohan Henriksson & Emil Grönvall.

TIME 6.15 pm Åland pancake in the square
We are offering 4,000 pieces of Åland pancake – the winner of the Ålandic dish of the century. There are also options for people with food allergies or particular dietary requirements.

TIME 7.00 pm Musical performance
Participants in Deluxe 2021 and winner of Vocalist 2022 will perform.



PARLIAMENTARY PROGRAMME

TIME 5.15 pm Parade
The ceremony begins with a ceremonial parade that starts from the courtyard of the Parliament building, goes along Strandgatan, turns up Ekonomiegatan to Torggatan and comes down to Julius Sundblom’s statue on the south side of the square.

TIME 5.30 pm Programme by the Julius Sundblom statue
Singing and music, ceremonial speeches and floral tributes.

The Parliament’s jubilee concert at Andersudde
Only for people with tickets. Transport to Andersudde from Storagatan 6.15 pm. The concert starts at 8.30 pm. Transport return to Bussplan after the concert.



OTHER EVENTS & MUSEUMS OPEN WITH FREE ADMISSION

Autonomy celebrations in Kastelholm
Kastelholm’s village association will celebrate with singing, music, dance and theatre. In Smakbyn, Dur-rackarna will play and coffee and Åland pancakes will be served.

TIME 2 pm Author talk with Sebastian Johans about the novel ‘The Bridges’, which is the Åland book of the decade for June
